Nope, today I am urged to remind you that there is one absolute fail-safe in marketing. And it’s actually pretty touching when you think about it.
There is one thing that will absolutely work for you, and you don’t have to psych yourself up to do it. In fact, I would bet the farm on this one.
This bulletproof marketing technique is to GIVE!
How can you genuinely GIVE to your audience and prospects? What can you give them that would be helpful? What can you provide that solves a problem?
Giving instantly does a couple of things–it creates immediate goodwill with you and your community, and it shows an example of the quality that your product or service can provide.
If you think about offline businesses, how many times have you been offered a free sample at a store? This giving allows prospective customers to try the product, but they are also receiving a small amount of product for free.
Giving can be a sample piece of toffee, but it can also be a pdf that helps to solve a problem, or a video training that addresses something that is meaningful to your customer.
Giving works because you can either use your money or time to create something of value. As the great Catherine Ponder says, “We all have something to give.”
Not only does it create value in someone else’s life, you are also opening up your own self to more abundance. It’s hard to feel like things are scarce when you are giving!
