Our state (North Carolina) still has shelter in place orders in effect, but the winds of change are howling around here!
Many businesses–maybe yours–are looking for opportunities to begin scaling up this spring.
Right now, the businesses I work with are looking ahead to the next 30-60 days to spot the opportunities that could be on the horizon. In fact–most are looking down the line to see where there is pent up demand, and how they can be prepared to capitalize on that demand as it arises.
That sounds kind of fancy, lol, so let’s make this advice a tad more usable.
If you are a real estate agent, know that there are loads of families who want to put their house on the market, but did not feel comfortable with the idea of open houses, or even the challenge of moving during March and April. As soon as they feel comfortable with this process, gosh, they are going to need help fast! They likely still want to make their move this summer.
Are you ready for these families?
What can you market that would be comforting to them during this time? (Virtual open houses, safety procedures in place for people visiting the home, etc.).
Or let’s say that you have an online store…Over the next few weeks, people will likely STILL be tightening their belts until their income stabilizes. What could you provide or create that would be a lower price option that people would be excited to buy?
Another opportunity would be to revisit your promotion calendar…
Last week I ordered 2 more colors of the best pants on the planet because Prana.com was having a 25% discount with no shipping fees. (Ladies, do yourself a favor and buy these pants!) Prana.com rarely has sales that big, so they obviously wanted to increase cash flow by offering a sale that people couldn’t refuse. Including me!
It is the beginning of the month, so a wonderful time to get quiet and reflect on what opportunities you will have in the next few weeks.
