Social advertising is still the fastest way to “turn on the faucet” of traffic to your offer or website. As a Facebook advertiser of over four years, I have seen all of the changes to the ads platform, and still find myself saying that there has never been a better time to advertise on Facebook. You have so many options, you don’t have to have a big budget, and you can turn on traffic.
The ads that are working VERY WELL for us right now are Carousel Link ads. In this ad, you have several images, all with their own headline and tiny description.
To be able to use this ad, you only need to click that you have multiple images when you are creating the ad.
Each image can have it’s own destination url. If you have an ecomm business, this means you can direct each image to its own product page on your website.
I am not sure why this ad works so well–perhaps it is that the ad is more interesting, compelling, with multiple images? Or I’ve even guessed that Facebook likes this ad style and is rewarding its use with cheaper clicks?!
Not only are we seeing cheaper clicks with carousel link ads, we are seeing conversions! Thank goodness!
My own personal favorite style is the carousel link ad with images and testimonials from people who have used the product or service. So the whole ad is a series of compelling testimonials. A pro tip is to include a snip it of testimonial text on the image.
What you should AVOID:
- Putting general, stock pictures for your ad images.
They need to be compelling images, either of the people providing the testimonial or your own custom images.
- Not sizing the images correctly.
Your images should each be 600 X 600. Our designer creates each image, and they are usually branded.
